Following an electrifying presentation on January 30, 2026, sustainable fashion powerhouse IMPARI Moda, led by designer Jana Heinemann, has once again redefined the intersection of ethics and high fashion at Berlin Fashion Week. The Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, titled “Permission Slip,” debuted to a capacity crowd in an unconventional venue near the historic SchwuZ, setting a new bar for inclusive, circular design.
The Collection: “Permission ≠ Slip”
The AW26 collection serves as a symbolic invitation to self-authorization urging individuals to step outside imposed social norms and reclaim personal responsibility. The runway featured a striking evolution of the brand’s DNA, blending fluid silhouettes with technical innovation.
- Materials & Sustainability: Staying true to its zero-waste philosophy, IMPARI utilized 100% recycled materials along with Yoona AI’s award winning capabilities. The brand’s unique value chain, connecting Berlin craftsmanship with Ghanaian textile traditions, was evident in the complex, hand-finished details.
- Aesthetic Palette: The show transitioned from soft, ethereal tones of baby blue, butter yellow, and blush pink to bold, defiant splashes of indigo, orange, and anthracite.
- Key Silhouettes: Highlights included oversized, structured coats with high collars reminiscent of Tang Dynasty aesthetics, juxtaposed with playful elements like lace collars, draped baseball caps, and fringe-heavy statement hats.
The Experience: Atmosphere and Attitude
The show opened with a provocative film contrasting the beauty of nature with the harsh reality of global textile waste, grounding the audience in IMPARI’s mission. The runway itself was transformed into a dreamlike landscape, with models navigating past monumental, air-inflated plastic structures.
A Message of Radical Inclusion
The “Permission Slip” runway was a masterclass in diversity, featuring a cast of models across the spectrum of age, gender, and body type. The finale, underscored by powerful live vocals, culminated in a collective procession that celebrated individuality as the ultimate form of sustainable luxury.
“IMPARI is about the ‘unequal’ – the beauty in difference,” says founder Jana Heinemann. “With ‘Permission Slip,’ we wanted to show that responsibility isn’t a restriction; it’s the freedom to create a world that actually looks like us.”
