Vinitaly is the only international event in Italy specifically dedicated to wine and spirits. The exhibition is owned and organised by Veronafiere. It is scheduled in April every year at the Verona Exhibition Centre and involves a net show area of more than 100,000 square metres across seventeen permanent and tensile show facilities that are always fully booked. A business event designed to meet the needs of companies. It speaks all the languages of the world and focuses on promoting Italian and international wines and spirits through a schedule of initiatives, events and shows organised directly or in collaboration with other strategic partners, including institutional players such as ICE-Italian Trade Agency, Ministries and Embassies.
This is why Vinitaly is acknowledged on markets as a global brand supporting the internationalisation of Italian wines, as well as being one of the flagship events in the Veronafiere portfolio.
Shows held alongside Vinitaly include Enolitech, the International Exhibition of Wine, Olive Oil and Beer Production Technologies, and SOL, the International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Exhibition.
VINITALY FACTS & FIGURES

The top five countries of origin for buyers at the last edition in April this year saw the United States confirm its market leadership with two-figure growth in attendance compared to 2022 (+45%), followed by Germany, the United Kingdom, China and Canada.

ITALIAN WINE – A BALANCE OF TRADE CHAMPION
The wine industry in Italy is worth 31.3 billion euros, with 530,000 companies and around 870,000 employees. It ranks top of the special classification detailing the “traditional” balance of trade for Made in Italy (Clothing, Food, Furniture, Automation) worth around 200 billion euros every year. The contribution of wine is not limited to the agri-food chain but embraces Made in Italy as a whole: analysis of more than 40 representative sectors in the so-called 4A sectors, sees wine, with 7.9 billion euros of net exports, ranked first in 2022 in terms of its balance of trade, leaving behind other “Made in Italy” world champions, even the fashion system and machinery. A performance by the most popular Italian agricultural product in the world, starting from 4th place in 2011 to reach the top today.
